Dr. Iyer, author and international lecturer, is developer
of innovative BCP methodology for "Enterprise Resource Planning" environments.
Dr. Raja K. Iyer is the ERP/BCP Practice Manager for Sprint
Paranet, a leading provider of network management and disaster recovery
and business continuity planning services. Dr. Iyer also serves as an
Adjunct Professor of Information Systems at the University of Texas at
Arlington. Dr. Iyer currently serves on the Certification Board of the
Disaster Recovery Institute International, and served as the Chairman
of the Education and Testing Standards Committee, which established the
current "Professional Practices for the Business Continuity Professionals,"
which have been adopted worldwide. Dr. Iyer has lectured worldwide on
disaster recovery and business continuity planning issues and has conducted
related seminars and developed courseware for the business continuity
planning certification examinations. Dr. Iyer has published over 50 articles
in academic and professional journals and is currently writing a book
entitled "Organizational Continuity Planning." He has developed and implemented
a methodology for disaster recovery and business continuity planning in
the "Enterprise Resource Planning" environment with integrated software
packages, such as SAP R/3, Oracle, PeopleSoft, BaaN, JDEdwards, and others.
