ADASHI First Response Assists Security Efforts for Maryland’s Gubernatorial Inauguration

Annapolis, MD - Emergency responders, equipped with ADASHI First Response, were on hand yesterday as Maryland’s newest governor, Martin O’Malley, was inaugurated. ADASHI First Response software was used to preplan security for the event, providing detailed maps of the region and emergency management guidance in case of terrorist activity. ADASHI First Response has been certified by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as an Approved Product for Homeland Security and designated as a Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology (QATT).

ADASHI First Response features comprehensive hazardous agent response guidance, intelligent discovery of potential hazards, as well as recommended actions for mitigation displayed on a street-level map. If a terrorist incident had occurred the software would have been used to support incident command and control based on the National Incident Management System (NIMS). The current operational picture could have been instantly shared with the emergency operations center and other agencies. “The software application provides the easiest way to quickly visualize and comprehend a potentially life-threatening incident” affirmed Alex Menkes, Program Manager for the ADASHI product line.

ADASHI First Response was designed by the US Army to provide emergency responders on the local, state and federal level with the tools they need to make quicker and better informed decisions when handling any type of emergent incident.
